I am a botanical photo artist based in London. In 2013, I graduated from the MA Photography course at the University for the Creative Arts with Distinction. I did my BA in Fashion at the University of the West of England, graduating in 2011.

Since my Masters degree, I have been employing an improvised technique of ‘camera-less’ photography, using the flatbed scanner as a lens. This technique allows a ‘purer’ study of the object, without the light and space distortion of traditional photographic techniques. Creating photographs in this way also allows me to approach my subject with more tactility and playfulness than with a traditional camera.

I have always been passionate about conservation and the natural environment, and I am currently working on my next project, focussing on the flora of the Walthamstow Marshes in London, a nature reserve where I live.
